The Fall of Recent Times

Entering the space between Autumn and Winter has been both full and hard this year of 2008.

Love continues to flourish amidst the convulsions of the world and the colors of Fall are as beautiful as they are final.  The travels and sites and sounds and friends fill the days even as work and industry and lack of accomplishment sap the vitality.

The images below show that mixture of the highest highs and the lowest lows, all with soft swirls of aging blending and connecting the extremes.  The hoped for certainty that might come with getting older continues to become more imaginary week by week.  In spite of warm hearts and full bellies fears begin to chisel and erode away the edges of contentment. 

Although more weary and sometimes fringed or shot through with ache, the Winter that lies ahead must become the next challenge………… the next Adventure.

It must because it has to.

New Leaders, New Lunch Bags, and New Floor Lamps all combine to try to mitigate Falling Funds, Falling Currencies, Falling Resources, Falling Homes, Falling Jobs, Falling Food, Falling Trust & Contentment.

If it ever was, it is no longer Personal.  We are all caught up in this Next Big Adventure, together.
